Achievements
Contribution to overall economy of the province upto 30th June, 2024
- Creation of direct/indirect employment opportunities to raise the socio-economic conditions of the remote areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
- Maximization of forest revenue i.e. Rs.17105.092 million paid to Forest Department on account of royalty and forest duty
- Rs. 710.221 million has been spent on rising of nurseries and a-forestation through FDC own and Forest Department development schemes
- Generous ADP of Rs.150.00 million (Av.) per annum is allocated for infrastructure (roads, bridges and buildings) as well as forest development. About 60% of ADP is spent to augment the forest resource
- The Corporation has allocated a sum of Rs. 80.390 million up to 30-6-2013 on account of Workers Profit Participation Fund, out of which Rs. 49.485 million has been disbursed among the workers and balance Rs. 30.905 million has been transferred to Federal Govt. under the head Worker Welfare Fund
- FDC has paid Rs.69.025 million on account of dividend on equity to Government i.e.22 times more than the original equity subscribed by the Provincial Government
- Reduced timber wastage (72% timber is extracted in log form instead of scants). For the purpose roads are constructed to valley bottom and timber extraction is done through skyline cranes within valley where feasible
- About Rs. 209.120 million has been spent on acquisition of harvesting machinery (cable cranes, winches and bulk earth moving equipment etc) for mechanization of forestry practices
- FDC has trained local manpower/staff in use of harvesting machinery & equipment and directional felling of trees to curtail timber wastage, besides professional training of officers from abroad.
