The Forest crop on attaining the age of maturity needs to be harvested in accordance with the silvicultural principles and guidelines given in the Resource Management Plan of a respective natural forest. Besides, dry standing/wind/snow fallen trees also needs to be removed from a forest as salvage. For the purpose Forest Department carry out detailed survey of each forest and mark all such trees under the silvicultural principles meant for felling in forest. Forest Department after getting approval for harvesting handed over marking lists to FDC for harvesting.
